This section presents a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis for the political, economic, and business environment of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The long-running territorial dispute of the country with Iran poses a threat to the political condition of UAE. Volatile oil prices in the country are being countered by the economic diversification into gas, tourism, financial services and high-tech industries. Foreign investors may benefit from the tax holidays and full ownership offered by free trade zones |
